OXIDE has acquired the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) laser business of Lumeras LLC
On August 25, 2018, OXIDE Corporation (Yamanashi, President: Yasunori Furukawa), has acquired the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) laser business of Lumeras LLC (Santa Cruz, CA). Lumeras LLC, established in 2008, produces high-photon-energy (11eV, 114nm) laser sources, which are used in research institutes worldwide for cutting-edge material science applications, including photoemission electron spectroscopy. OXIDE Corporation, established in 2000, is the leading manufacturer of deep ultraviolet (DUV) laser sources (213-266nm), ultraviolet (UV) laser sources (355nm), as well as high quality nonlinear optical crystals. With the acquisition of the VUV laser business, Oxide becomes the only company in the world having a product portfolio spanning the entire UV-DUV-VUV spectra.
